Jesibags: Innovative Textiles from Yorkshire
Jesibags has now launched online – get the exclusive, handmade handbags from anywhere in the UK.
Jesi started making pieces from cast-off fabrics a decade ago, and even sold some pieces to famed Leeds style den, Blue Rinse. Since then, she has studied fashion, travelled the world, and started her new line of handbags made with chintzy prints and antique names. The Autumn Winter 09 collection is now available and is described as:
Handmade bags made to order with bold floral, stripes and retro prints.
Jesibags can even be made to order – customers just choose a design and then pick their preferred print – making the brand one of the most exclusive on the net.
For those who like to buy in person, Jesi will be hosting a small shop at “The Stalls” Arts & Crafts Fair in Leeds this Saturday:
Date: Saturday December 12th 2009
Venue: Housed at Park Plaza Hotels Chino Latino Bar and Restaurant.
(opposite the train station and next door to BHS)
Time: 10am – 4pm
Entry: £1 (your contribution will go directly toward the venue hire)
Free entry from 10am – 10.30am
If you can’t make it to the North of England this weekend, you can also purchase the bags online at Folksy.com – a website set up by two friends in a Yorkshire Mill Town with the aim of bringing together handmade designs from around the UK.
