Ethical Fashion: Minna does Recycled Scottish Lace
Lace is definitely going to be big in the Spring Summer 2010 season. Bora Aksu, John Rocha and others were all layering with lace and crochet at September’s London Fashion Week – perfect for those who prefer to buy vintage and recycled clothing. However, there’s no need to look like it’s second hand and that’s where Minna steps in.
The Finnnish born designer started trawling antique markets and fairs looking for something a bit different and soon began creating new pieces out of Scottish lace and pieces found at the antique fairs. The pieces are demure, modest and summery with a mixture of dresses and tops that can be teamed with jeans.
Minna’s collection can now be found at some exclusive boutiques, as well as online at her website Minna.co.uk
